Bobby and I started dating on December 31, 2005. We first met 8 months earlier-- the beginning of forever.
My mom, Angel, and Bobby's mom, Kim, we're working together at the time. They thought it would be a great idea to get both families together for a day of bowling with FULL INTENSIONS of bobby and I hitting it off. Well-- it worked! A few months later, we officially began dating. :) |

Bobby and I had a date night planned out at our favorite restaurant, Olive Garden. After eating dinner, Bobby decided to order a slice of cheesecake for us to share. Before digging in, he started talking to me about "us". At that point, I became suspicious. He then unbuttoned his dress shirt, revealing a black undershirt that I hadn't seen before. It had four Italian words on it: Fara Lei Mi Sposa. Being as English is the only language I know, I had no idea what it said. However, the last word, Sposa, got me thinking-- Spouse? Hmmm... At that point, I REALLY became suspicious. Behind Bobby, I noticed a waiter, about 4 tables back, aiming a camera at us-- MY camera!
Going through my head at this point: "Oh my god!" - "Fara lei mi Sposa DOES mean will you marry me!!" - "Oh my god!!" - "I can't believe this is about to happen!" - "OH. MY. GOD!!".
Bobby stood up, walked next to me, and turned around for about 2 seconds so I could see the back of his shirt: "SHE SAID YES". He faced me again, got down on one knee, and asked, "Will you marry me?". I was so nervous, the only thing I remember saying was yes.
Luckily, the waiter pointing the camera at us was NOT a coincidence! Bobby's creativity and thoughtfullness allows me to replay this memory over and over again. And, being able to share this memory with all of our family and friends is amazing. |
